The impeller and drive magnets are strong, permanent ceramic types, which prevent slippage, insuring that full motor power is converted into pumping power. Requires a flooded inlet and must be mounted below the waterline. Comes with a 6' power cord. Air-cooled, open drip-proof motors and must be in a dry environment.
